What about Google and GMail? Isn&#039;t this exactly what they are doing by scanning the contents of e-mail messages for keywords that they use to target ads toward users?

This might sound pessimistic, but I think advertisers will find ways to target individuals based on their data regardless of legal restrictions, and even with the choice to &quot;opt out&quot;, many or most consumers will accept this paradigm--particularly in the nearish future when the baby boomers &quot;leave the consumer market&quot;.</description>
